I came to Taverna for the first time with a few of my coworkers to celebrate our birthdays. I was impressed with ambiance and decor of this restaurant, it was very Mediterranean vibe, the bathrooms were gorgeous and clean! Our server was friendly, and full of witty one liners. The food was what I expected Greek to be and taste like- I am originally from Toronto where there is a Greek restaurant every few kilometers or so, so I have had my fair amount of greek cuisine. I had the Saganaki for appetizer which was amazing and the chicken with shrimp dinner it was cooked to perfection and seasoned well. We all had something different and nibbled from each other's so I was able to try a variety of the menu and I must say I was not disappointed. At the end our server brought us 3 desserts to share between us complimentary for our birthday; which were heavenly. I ended up getting a take home dish for my husband and with everything the price was in comparable to what a dinner would be at an upscale restaurant. We will definitely be coming here again and again. 10/10 recommend.

My partner and I were travelling on a roadtrip to the East coast for the first time and made a stop in Moncton. I spotted Taverna while taking a walk down the street and had a good feeling about it. It was a Friday night and we took a chance without a reservation and were successful! The overall vibe was fantastic! From the music to the decore.. it definitely had a young feel to it! We were served by Jill which was an absolute treat! She was hilarious, personable, professional and is definitely an asset to the team. The food was top notch!! I have to say it was probably one of my favourite meals that we had in the entire east coast. The owner came over to see how things were which I always love and appreciate. High regards to Fernando on the bar for remembering how much “loved baileys in my espresso martini” 😂! I am still dreaming about the food. Looking forward to returning one day!

My wife and I ordered two amazing entrée dishes. My was Chicken Souvlaki and my wife ordered Seared tuna. It just wasn't something she liked and they took it away and brought her a new entrée. Wiped the tuna off of our check without being asked. Top class place that we will continue going to. Thank you!

I’m no stranger to Greek food, tzatziki is a regular staple in our home. Taverna’s tzatziki was Zeus worthy delicious! Their Saganaki was ooey gooey delicious, I wasn’t even upset that they used brandy instead of ouzo. The star of this place was Nicole, our server extraordinaire. So sweet that my daughter won’t stop talking about how great she is, so here is her addition to the review: Overall, this place is so amazing the service and the food and the atmosphere everything is just so amazing I highly recommend you go. There is so much fun. Yay.

An amazing eatery offering traditional Greek food. We ordered calamari to share and it was delicious, fried perfectly, crunchy on the outside but tender on the inside. I had the swordfish and my family ordered seared tuna and chicken souvlaki plate. All was super delicious. Prices were reasonable for the quality and portions. Would definitely come back when in town again.
