We went to Taverna on a recommendation and it was amazing. The food was delicious and the service was excellent. The waitress was so funny and made the experience that much better.

This was our first time! Can't wait to return! From the moment we arrived until our departure, we felt that we were looked after and the only ones there, although the place was packed! Upon arriving at the host podium, we were asked if we had had a chance to phone ahead (I love this, rather then, do you have a reservation?) They sat us outside on a beautifully constructed patio with a great sound system with great music playing! Summer, our server was great! Loved the comedic banter with all of the other staff. Everyone is very confident in their ability to deliver service and the quality of that service and the quality of the food too! When we went to pay, we were aske to go inside to the bar as the signal for the handheld machine was not that great outside. When we arrived inside the bar and stools were full. I thought, oh great, this will take a while. Nope, we were immediately shown to the end of the bar. The bartend who was busy making drinks but still acknowledged us, so I felt that we would not be in the way but then I saw that the end of the bar was where the servers were picking up their drinks. I thought again, great we will be in the way. NOPE, each server picking up their drinks said hello or asked us how we were. Summer processed our bill very quickly and thanked us for coming in and wished us a good evening. As we walked towards the door, two more staff thanked us for coming in. They understand guest service! Great service! Oh, and great food too!

Went for my girl’l birthday and had the best time, free round of shots for the table and free dessert for the birthday girl, food was also amazing!!

First time there from Toronto area and loved it, staff are friendly, asked if we had allergies, inviting and quick, food was tasty, fresh and presentable, washrooms were awesome, the place was clean and bright, the owner was at the door greeting people

Everything was so delicious, loved the atmosphere. And our server, Summer, excellent and so sweet. So much food we had to take some home. WE’LL BE BACK ! And recommend Taverna to our friends, Thank You!

My husband and I both had a drink, appetizer, main and he had dessert. The service was great, I enjoyed the fact that several employees brought us food, asked us how our meal was and our waitress paid close attention to detail and was attentive. The drinks and appetizers were great! Tasty, we’re promptly brought out and fresh. The Spanakopita wasn’t as warm as I would have liked it (there were cold spots) but maybe that’s how it’s traditionally served, the flavours were great regardless. Our mains were good, my husband had the Kota sti Souvla and I had the Souvlakia. His skewer was amazing, tender chicken and cooked to perfection. The flavour of my skewers was good, but the texture of the pork wasn't great, a lot of chewy bits and fat. The potato’s and rice were good but not amazing, and I recommend upgrading to the Greek salad, it was absolutely delicious. The mains are large, which is a bonus. The Greek chocolate cake was ok, but we wouldn’t order it again. Overall it was a good experience…the food was decent, the service was wonderful, bathroom facilities were clean and prices seemed fair.
