First time there from Toronto area and loved it, staff are friendly, asked if we had allergies, inviting and quick, food was tasty, fresh and presentable, washrooms were awesome, the place was clean and bright, the owner was at the door greeting people

My husband and I both had a drink, appetizer, main and he had dessert. The service was great, I enjoyed the fact that several employees brought us food, asked us how our meal was and our waitress paid close attention to detail and was attentive. The drinks and appetizers were great! Tasty, we’re promptly brought out and fresh. The Spanakopita wasn’t as warm as I would have liked it (there were cold spots) but maybe that’s how it’s traditionally served, the flavours were great regardless. Our mains were good, my husband had the Kota sti Souvla and I had the Souvlakia. His skewer was amazing, tender chicken and cooked to perfection. The flavour of my skewers was good, but the texture of the pork wasn't great, a lot of chewy bits and fat. The potato’s and rice were good but not amazing, and I recommend upgrading to the Greek salad, it was absolutely delicious. The mains are large, which is a bonus. The Greek chocolate cake was ok, but we wouldn’t order it again. Overall it was a good experience…the food was decent, the service was wonderful, bathroom facilities were clean and prices seemed fair.

Billy treated us like royalties! Not only was the food and service excellent, but, the whole wait staff engaged with our table keeping our wine and water topped up. I would definitely recommend Taverna over any of our other great restaurants in Moncton. Seeing the staff work together is a reflection of the owner and the pride he takes in his restaurant. I look forward to going back!

I had such a great experience at Taverna Greek Restaurant in Moncton! The food was fresh, flavorful, and really authentic. The house salad was crisp and bright, with just the right balance of dressing and seasoning. The shish kebabs were perfectly grilled—tender, juicy, and full of that delicious char-grilled flavor. And looking around the table, I can safely say that my dear friends/dinner company had the same experience. We also tried a few other dishes, and everything had that homemade touch that makes Greek food so comforting. Portions were generous without being overwhelming, and it all came out hot and beautifully presented. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, and the staff made us feel welcome from start to finish. You can tell they take pride in both the food and the service. If you’re in Moncton and craving authentic Greek cuisine, Taverna is definitely worth a visit! And a special shout out to the owner who take the time to make us feel extra welcome. You earned lifelong customers.
